Day 70 – At Sea – July 30th, 2015

Charleston, USA to Curacao, NA

Today we returned to the tropics and the expected heat and humidity, but in addition, we are back to the almost continuous rocking and rolling resulting from the strong trade winds. Today we headed through the Bahamas, followed by the Windward Passage, before entering the Caribbean Sea enroute to Curacao. Yet another quiet sea day aboard Sea Princess, culminating with another poor dinner.

Day 68 – Charleston, USA – July 28th, 2015 (Horse Drawn Carriage Tour)

As soon as I saw they offer horse drawn carriage rides in Charleston, there was no need to review other options, as this would be top of Judi’s wish list. Billed as a carriage ride around historic downtown Charleston led by an informative guide, it certainly didn’t disappoint. Having just spent 2 days in New York City this was the perfect contrast, a quiet and laid back city, where the residents are renowned as being the friendliest in the United States.
